3 The Coronation Rings Crown Jewels



The ring is one popular jewelry all of human civilization. Accessories this one often seen adorning the ring finger’s woman. However, not a few others among the men who wear them.

For a woman, the ring can make it look graceful and fashionable. Perhaps the view of woman while wearing the ring would look like Actress Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz who plays the role of Julia in The movie "The Ring 3".

For the men the ring believed to be able to add authority and can make a men more elegant look like Orlando Bloom as Legolas in the movie trilogy "The Lord of The Ring".

If we discuss the ring definitely synonymous with weddings, processions of embedding ring to the ring finger as a symbol of love and affection between the bridegroom and the bride.

Characteristics of The Sovereign's Ring

The Sovereign's Ring size 2.8 cm overall weight 16.89 grams consisting of octagonal blue Sapphire in diameter 1.5 cm (1 in) which is the coat of arms of St. Andrew's Cross or commonly known with the Saltire is the symbol of the fertile fields. Later adapted into the flag of Scotland around the 15th century.

Above the blue sapphire there are five pieces of Red Ruby which becomes the attraction of this ring consists of 4 rectangle and 1 in the middle box as the center stone formed a cross. The design of the center stone is meant to represent the Saint George's Cross is a symbol of the patron saint of the United Kingdom. Used as the flag of England from the 17th century.

On the side of the stone ring Sovereign's 14 stones diamonds that surround the head shaped pillows on each shoulder, with gold hoop.

And 2 other diamond stones are let it ring eyes as if into a lock between the main rings are rings with decoration

History of The Sovereign's Ring

Later, William IV left the Sovereign's ring for his widow, Queen Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen.
